Damascus Spur Detail
The distinctive woodgrain pattern of the steel is created by forge welding three different kinds of steel into one solid bar with approximately 100 layers. This unique multi-layered material is further enhanced by carving and beveling the surfaces. When  I cut into the steel, the various layers are exposed to create the final pattern. This is truly a unique look for contemporary spurs using an ancient steel making process.
